Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 cups ketchup (spicy for extra credit!)
  • 3 shallots, finely chopped

Prepare

  1. In a pot on medium heat add the shallots, a pinch of salt and a bit of olive oil. Saute until tender.
  2. Add the sugar, ketchup and plenty of fresh black pepper. Cook about 10 minutes.
